M2TS not supported in Davinci Resolve
I just downloaded Davinci Resolve and I’m trying to familiarize myself with how it works. I'm unable to import .m2ts files into the media folder it only recognizes or sees .mov files. I just started reading the manual but does anyone know what I need to do?

Although the Davinci Resolve 12 is now supporting AVCHD format where you can load .MTS files, however, .M2TS, another file extension of the AVCHD format, is not fortunately enough to be included in Davinci Resolve supported format list. Step 1: Load MTS files to the program.
Start the program on your computer, add AVCHD .m2ts files to the program by clicking the "Add Video" or "Add folder" button.
Step 2: Specify output file format.
From "format" bar drop-down list, select Davinci Resolve best editing format such as Prores, DNxHD, QuickTime, etc. Here, we choose to output "Avid Media Composer" > "Avid DNxHD(*.mov)" as an example, you can choose other formats according to your own preference.
Step 4: Merge/Split MTS files with built-in video editing app.

Merge: By ticking off "Merge into one file" option behind "Settings" button, you can merge the ticked files in list into one single file.
Adjust output aspect ratio : Open "Video Editor" window, click "Crop" tab, click "Advanced Mode" in the right panel, then select "Keep Ratio" option in the left panel, then from "Display aspect ratio" drop-down list, you can either keep the original aspect ratio by choosing "Original" or keep the cropped aspect ratio such as 16:10, 16:9, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2, 2:1, etc from the aspect ratio lists.

Step 4: Start conversion.
