Problems when playing DTS files in MediaMonkey

1. Trying to add DTS 5.1 files to mediamonkey and they are not being recognized.
I've tried renaming them to .wav and they would get recognized in MM 4.0.3 browser, however I am losing ability to save tags to these files. I've tried renumbering and changes are lost immediately.
I've tried any possible plugins in previously found posts, however that does not help me.
I can play these files without problems with VLC or Winamp. Is it possible to manage .dts files within MM4?

2.I have had AC3 filter for many years now. My main music player is MediaMonkey. In reading various forums it seems that all I had to do was install this filter and DTS/wav files would be playable but this does not appear to be so. Obviously something must be done. I could see in the System properties of my filter (latest version 2.60b and the one before as well) that DTS is there and checked so what am I doing wrong?
