I have some MKV files I want to remove everything from except the video and main audio.

Ive tried everything I can get from here but cannot find anything that can do this in one go.
Ive tried splitting and re-merging using things like mkvcleaver/mkvmerge/toolnix/mkvstreamextractor etc
but nothing seems capable of re-merging and keeping the audio in sync.

Can anyone suggest a one step application that can strip all the extraneous stuff out of MKV files please?

As we all know, video formats, such as MKV, can contain several subtitle streams in different formats or languages in one file. Technically, subtitles are divided into two types: hard subtitle and soft subtitle in video files. Hard subtitle is a part of the video images, and you cannot disable or hide it when playing the video file. Soft subtitle is an independent stream, and you can turn on or turn off it when playing.
